VisioMIP Express is the communication specialist in the family of VISIOMIP, composed of a medical image transmission gateway and a DICOM image reception server. It permits efficient echange of medical images between health institutions and medical professionals. The integrated DICOM Store SCP server can receive images from any standard medical imaging modality, and then these images can then be transmitted to their destinations according to the predefined transmission criteria. Specific methods are implemented in order to optimise the transmission according to the concrete communication conditions, meanwhile, humain intervention is reduced to its minimum and data security is assured by the special data encryption methods.


Flexibility:
- VisioMIP Express is capable to send images to a FTP server or an email account, it is particularly efficient in collaboration with another VisioMIP server.
- Data transmission can immediately start after the reception of images with DICOM Store service, users can also send images manually at any moment.
- Support dynamic IP addresses.

Optimization of transmission:

- Data can be compressed in lossless mode during the transmission. - Important images may be transmitted at first. - Specific error processing procedure allows efficient transmission even under very difficult transmission conditions. If the connection between VisioMIP express and VisioMIP server cannot ensure stable transmission, VisioMIP Express can send at first the data to an internet buffer server, and then invite the remote server to come and retrieve the data. In this way, the VisioMIP server does even not need to have a permenant Internet connection to provide its data reception service.

Minimal Human Intervention:
Transmission criteria may be defined for automatic data transmission: by date, by time, by source, by modality or others. The images can be sent immediately or periodically without any human intervention. The reception is also totally automatic, users are informed when the images have been received and available for immediate exploitation.

Data Security for image transmission and stockage:
Sensible data may be specially encrypted during the transmission and they may even been transmitted in different ways in order to minimize risk.
Images can be encrypted before archiving to avoid unauthorised access.
Images can automatically removed after transmission.
While using Internet buffer server, there is no longer need to open an incoming connection channel for VISIOMIP server, all the systems can then locate safely behind the firewall, avoiding possible attacks from external hackers.

The installation and usage of VisioMIP Express don't require any specific knowledge or skill. Intuitive and friendly user interface.
